Your Little Tiger doesn't need experience.
They just need a place to begin.

TRY A LITTLE TIGERS CLASS

AGES 4–5 ARE THEIR OWN STAGE

They're Little. Their World Is Big.

Four- and five-year-olds are learning how to wait, listen, take turns, follow directions, manage big energy, try something unfamiliar, and keep going when something doesn't happen perfectly the first time.

Little Tigers gives young students a place to practice those skills through movement, repetition, encouragement, and age-appropriate Tae Kwon Do instruction.

They Don't Have to Know How to Focus Yet.

Focus is a skill, not a requirement for joining class.

Little Tigers practice listening to an instructor, watching a demonstration, waiting for their turn, following simple directions, and returning their attention to the task in front of them.

Those small moments of practice can become meaningful building blocks over time.

BIG SKILLS FOR LITTLE TIGERS

What Little Tigers Begin to Build

At this age, progress often shows up in small moments — and those small moments matter.

Listening & Following Directions

Students practice watching, listening, responding to instructions, and completing simple tasks from beginning to end.

Confidence

Trying a new skill, participating in front of others, and realizing “I did it” gives young students repeated opportunities to experience success.

Coordination & Body Control

Kicking, stepping, balancing, turning, and practicing basic movements help children become more aware of how their bodies move.

Self-Control

Little Tigers practice starting and stopping on command, waiting for turns, keeping their bodies under control, and using their energy appropriately.

Respect

Bowing, listening to instructors, working alongside classmates, and caring for the training space introduce children to respectful habits in a way they can understand and practice.

WHAT CLASS FEELS LIKE

Structured. Active. Encouraging. Fun.

Little Tigers classes are designed to keep young students moving while also teaching them how to listen, respond, take turns, and stay engaged.

A typical class blends basic Tae Kwon Do movements with age-appropriate activities that help students practice balance, coordination, listening, self-control, and confidence.

Instructors use clear directions, repetition, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to help students understand what is expected and feel successful as they learn.

They are learning martial arts.
They are also learning how to be a student.

EVERY LITTLE TIGER IS DIFFERENT

But My Child Is...

Parents often wonder whether their child is “ready” for Tae Kwon Do. The truth is, readiness can look very different at ages four and five.

Shy or Slow to Warm Up

Some children need time to watch, observe, and become comfortable before fully participating. That is okay. Confidence often grows through repeated positive experiences.

Very Energetic

Little Tigers gives energetic children a structured place to move while practicing when to start, when to stop, and how to direct their energy with greater control.

Easily Distracted

Focus develops through practice. Instructors give young students repeated opportunities to return their attention to a task, listen for directions, and complete one small step at a time.

Hesitant to Try New Things

A new class can feel big to a small child. Little Tigers gives students a supportive environment where they can try, make mistakes, and discover that they are capable of more than they first believed.

Still Learning How to Follow Directions

That's part of the reason Little Tigers exists. Children do not need to arrive already knowing how to listen perfectly, wait patiently, or follow every instruction. Those are skills they can practice and strengthen.

They don't have to be “ready” in every way.
They just need a place where they're allowed to grow.

SMALL WINS MATTER

Growing One Small Win at a Time

At ages four and five, progress is not always dramatic. Sometimes it looks like remembering where to stand. Waiting for a turn. Bowing without being reminded. Trying a kick again after missing it the first time.

Those moments may seem small, but they are how young students begin building habits of focus, respect, confidence, and perseverance.

Little Tigers gives children repeated chances to experience effort, correction, success, and encouragement in a setting designed for their age.

Big confidence often begins with a very small victory.

THE NEXT STEP

What Comes After Little Tigers?

Little Tigers is designed to give young students a strong beginning. As children grow older and become ready for the next stage of training, they can move into our Kids Martial Arts program for ages 6–12.

The skills they begin practicing now — listening, focus, coordination, self-control, confidence, and respect — become the foundation for more advanced Tae Kwon Do training later.

From Little Tiger to Bigger Goals

The goal is not to rush children forward. It is to help them build the habits, confidence, and basic skills that prepare them for the next challenge when the time is right.
